Data Science for Intelligent Decision Support (DS4IDS@FiCloud2021)
The IEEE 8th International Conference on Future Internet of Things and Cloud Rome, 23-25 August 2021. Workshop Webpage: https://idsist.wix.com/ds4ids Conference Webpage: http://www.ficloud.org/2021/ IMPORTANT DATES Deadline for paper submission: April 30, 2021 Notification of paper acceptance: May 20, 2021 Camera-ready papers due: June 12, 2018 Conference dates: August 23-25, 2016. IMPORTANT NEWS - IEEE Computer Society Proceedings - Scopus and ISI index - Best paper will be invited to submit an extended version to SCImago Journal INTRODUCTION Nowadays, there are several technologies and systems to collect data in real-time. Consequently, the amount of data available electronically is huge, making the use of semi-autonomous techniques imperative to create new knowledge and support the decision-making process. In this context arises the Data Science concept. DS4IDS intends to promote the discussion and disseminate emergent trends, new projects, and contributions about applied data science to support the decision process. Researchers from distinct areas are expected to present new artefacts with scientific and societal contributions by bringing together. This track's motto is "Data Science allows Intelligent Decision Support", and we are inviting the community to share this vision. TOPICS OF INTEREST Innovative and exciting works are welcome in areas including but not limited to: • Applied Data Science (to various domains, e.g. health, medicine, marketing, government, accounting, financing, management); • Big Data; • Business Intelligence; • Cloud Computing; • Data and Text Mining; • Data architectures and Data Engineering; • Decision Support; • Information Retrieval; • Intelligent Data analysis and visualization solutions; • Intelligent Decision Support Systems; • Interoperability; • Knowledge-based solutions; • Machine-Learning; • Mobile and ubiquitous solutions; • Multi-Agent systems; • Online-Learning; • Ontologies; • Pervasive Systems; • Predictive Analytics; • Sensor-based systems; • Solutions to create knowledge and support the decision (e.g. Healthcare; Finances; Education; Government); • Streaming data; • Web-Based solutions. PAPER SUBMISSION Authors are requested to submit papers reporting original research results and experience. The page limit for full papers is 8 pages and for short papers is 6 pages. Papers should be prepared using the IEEE two-column template. IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Author Guidelines are available at: Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings. Submitted research papers may not overlap with papers that have already been published or simultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference with proceedings. All papers accepted for this conference are peer-reviewed and published in the conference proceedings by the IEEE Computer Society Conference Publishing Service (CPS). In order to submit your paper, click on the link to the EasyChair submission system: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ds4idsficloud2021. Note: To submit a paper, you need to have an EasyChair account. Follow the link EasyChair Signup to create EasyChair account, if needed. When a paper is accepted at least one of the authors has to register for the conference and deliver the related talk. Failure to do so shall lead to rejection of the application to attend next year conference and the exclusion of the paper for the current year proceedings.
