Extended versions of high quality manuscripts presented at the 2nd Mediterranean Conference on Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence (MedPRAI-2018) are invited for potential publication in a Special Issue on “Recent Advances in Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence” in Neural Computing and Applications, scheduled for publication in the second quarter 2019. In addition to the selected papers from MedPRAI-2018, the special issue is open to all contributions covering the recent advancements in different areas of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence.

Submissions are invited in the following topics of interest: Adaptive computing, algorithms, applicable neural networks theory, applied statistics, architectures, artificial intelligence, benchmarks, case histories of innovative applications, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, hardware implementations, hybrid intelligent systems, intelligent agents, intelligent control systems, intelligent diagnostics, intelligent forecasting, machine learning, neural networks, neuro-fuzzy systems, pattern recognition, performance measures, self-learning systems, software simulations and supervised and unsupervised learning methods.

Submission Procedure
Manuscripts should conform to the standard guidelines of the Neural Computing and Applications. Instructions for formatting papers can be found on the journal website. Prospective authors should use theirs institutional email addresses, select the special issue IAPR-MedPRAI and then submit the electronic copy of their complete manuscript via the EM online submission system.

• Acceptance notification: January 20, 2019
