Call For Papers

You are invited to present at the 2016 Teaching Learning Coaching Conference in Dallas, TX! The 2015 Teaching Learning Coaching Conference attracted more than 600 attendees from across the globe and we hope build upon that number this year.

A staggering amount of evidence shows that our schools are not as effective as they should be. When it comes to improving instruction, teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators have literally hundreds of options. But what teaching practices are the few that show the greatest potential to improve student learning? Jim Knight has been exploring this question for the past decade and has used his extensive research base to develop the High Impact Professional Learning framework.
The High Impact Professional Learning framework is based on seven partnership principles.
1. Equality: Professional learning with teachers rather than training done to teachers
2. Choice: Teachers should have choice regarding what and how they learn
3. Voice: Professional learning should empower and respect the voices of teachers
4. Reflection: Reflection is an integral part of professional learning
5. Dialogue: Professional learning should enable authentic dialogue
6. Praxis: Teachers should apply their learning to their real-life practice as they are learning
7. Reciprocity: We should expect to get as much as we give

To bring about the improvements we hope to see in our schools, we need to recognize and honor the complexity of providing support within professional relationships. In education, effective professional learning must be grounded in an understanding of how complex helping relationships can be.

The 2016 Teaching Learning Coaching Conference is designed to showcase high-leverage practices that achieve dramatic student outcomes; foster alignment between purpose and action for educators at all levels of a school system; and develop school cultures focused on remarkable results.

This event will provide an interactive venue for educators to share best practices; make connections; discuss trends, needs, and breakthroughs; and visualize the future of schools that are committed to a shared goal of excellent instruction, every day, for every student.

Come join us at the world’s leading conference for instructional coaching and instructional practice, where education experts and practitioners will lead keynote presentations and learning sessions focused on high-impact teaching strategies, proven instructional coaching practices, and system change strategies designed to lead to high performance schools.
