Welcome to 2016 IEEE 2nd International Symposium on Robotics and Manufacturing Automation (IEEE ROMA2016). IEEE ROMA2016 is the second in ROMA conference series, organized by IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE-RAS) Malaysia Chapter. IEEE ROMA2016 provides academic platform for interactive and technical discussion and presentation on various issues in robotics and manufacturing automation.
The conference theme is “Next Generation Robotics & Automation Technology for Sustainable Economic Growth” reflecting the growing spectrum and recent developments in robotics and manufacturing automation technology around the world towards sustainable economic growth. All submissions will be peer reviewed. All accepted papers in IEEE ROMA2016 Technical Sessions will be published in the conference proceedings and will be submitted for publication in IEEE Xplore database (indexed in Scopus). Papers presented in Workshop and Special Sessions, and extended version from Technical Sessions will be promoted for potential publication in indexed journals. The organizer is also proud to organize following events in-conjunction with ROMA2016: 1) 2016 IEEE-RAS International Robot PRIDE Competition 2) LEGO Robot Competition 3) PhD Forum 4) Industry Forum Scope & Topics Industrial Robotics, Manufacturing Automation, Sensor Technology, Evolutionary Robotics, Brain-Machine Interface, Adaptive Control, MEMS/NEMS, Advanced Machine Learning, Humanoid Robotics, Entertainment Robotics, Rehabilitation Robotics, Medical Robotics, Search & Rescue Robotics, Biological Inspired Robotics, Micro/Nano Robotics, Underwater Robotics, Service Robotics, Mobile Robotics, Space Robotics, Control and Intelligent Systems, Education Robotics, Kaizen System, Advanced Computation, Soft Robotics, Human-Robot Interaction, Mechanical Design and Fabrications, Social Robotics, etc. Important Dates Workshop/Special Session Proposal Closed: 31 March 2016 Regular Paper Submission Closed: 30 April 2016 Notification of Acceptance: 15 July 2016 Final Camera-Ready Submission: 15 August 2016 Early Bird Registration Closed: 15 August 2016 Paper submission must comply with IEEE standard guidelines and templates available at the following link: http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html Review Process All papers submitted to ROMA2016 will undergo a peer-review process. Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least two reviewers who will give detailed comments. If the submission gets accepted, the authors will submit a revised ("camera-ready") version that takes into account this feedback. The review process is managed by the ROMA Conference Editorial Board (CEB). All papers are reviewed using a single-blind review process: authors declare their names and affiliations in the manuscript for the reviewers to see, but reviewers do not know each other's identities, nor do the authors receive information about who has reviewed their manuscript.
