Call for Workshop Proposals
In conjunction with the 4th International Conference on Multimedia and Ubiquitous Engineering MUE 2010 (http://www.ftrg.org/mue2010/) June 28 - June 30, 2010 San Diego, CA, USA The MUE'10 Organizing Committee invites proposals for the Workshop to be held on June 28-30, 2010 in parallel to the main technical program of the MUE conferences. The main goal of the MUE'10 workshops is to bring together the researchers from academic and industry as well as practitioners to share ideas, challenges, and solutions relating to the multifaceted aspects of multimedia and ubiquitous-related fields. Workshops for presenting papers from industrial companies and papers on implementations of systems and services are very welcome. It is expected that the proceedings of the workshop programs will be published by IEEE Press (IEEE eXpress Conference Publishing group). In general, a workshop takes one day, although multiple-days and half-day workshops are welcome. [Requirements for Submissions] To propose a workshop in MUE'10, you will submit a complete workshop proposal containing the following information: 1. Title of the workshop: International Workshop on ... 2. Workshop chair(s): name, affiliation, address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail. 3. Brief description of the workshop (several hundred words) 4. Expected number of papers to be submitted 5. Call for paper of the workshop (draft version - plain ASCII text version) 6. Tentative list of program committee members (Name, affiliation, country, email address) 7. Your workshop web address (Tentative) All proposals should be submitted by electronic mail to the Workshops Co-Chairs,Seungmin Rho, Yijuan (Lucy) Lu and Chong Wah Ngo, in plain ASCII text, no later than December 14, 2009. Proposers will be notified of the committee's decision no later than December 21, 2009 The selection of the workshops to be included in the final MUE program will be based upon multiple factors, including: the scientific/technical interest of the topics, the quality of the proposal, balance and distinctness of workshop topics, and the capacity of the conference workshop program. If your workshop were accepted, online submission systems will be prepared by FTRG. Each workshop will start to distribute a call for paper after receiving the notification. Papers submitted to each workshop will be reviewed by the program committee and external reviewers of the workshop. [Financial Support for Workshop Organizer] If a workshop were organized successfully, the organizer (1 organizer per 1 workshop) will get: At least 8 papers registration: Free registration At least 16 papers registration: Free registration and Free accommodation (Max. 2 nights).
