Call For Papers

The focus of our forum is on two common intermediate-range goals of community college students: transfer to 4-year colleges, and entry into the global workforce. We welcome papers and presentations that consider the ways that community college world language courses, programs, and departments can and do help their students prepare to enter these sectors of U.S. society. Topics may include:

- articulation agreements between community colleges and four-year colleges
- assessment and alignment with institutional/national/international standards
- internships and externships
- community- and service-based language learning
- Language for Specific Purposes
- program design
- curriculum design
- pedagogical approaches & materials
