The 9th International Conference on Sampling Theory and Applications (SampTA 2011) will be held for the first time in Asia at the Yunnan Garden Campus of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore from May 2 - 6, 2011.

SampTA is an interdisciplinary conference gathering mathematicians, engineers and applied scientists with main purpose to exchange recent advances in sampling theory and to explore new directions in the related areas of application.

The SampTA 2011 programme will include plenary talks by prominent speakers, as well as, regular sessions on traditional topics, special sessions on selected topics, and poster sessions for more interactive discussions on sampling theory and applications.

The series of SampTA meetings began as intimate workshops which were held in Riga, Latvia (SampTA'95), in Aveiro, Portugal (SampTA'97) and in Loen, Norway (SampTA'99). As the interest in sampling theory and its applications grew, the biennial meetings blossomed into full-fledge conferences in Orlando,USA (SampTA'01), Salzburg, Austria (SampTA'03), Samsun, Turkey (SampTA'05), Thessaloniki, Greece (SampTA'07) and in Marseille, France (SampTA'09) which attracted 160 participants with an even mix of mathematicians and engineers.

The SampTA 2011 Organizing Committee looks forward to welcoming the SampTA community in Singapore, a multicultural kaleidoscope and vibrant research hub in Asia.
