The Directive on security of network and information systems (NIS Directive) is the first piece of EU-wide legislation on cybersecurity. It provides legal measures to boost the overall level of cybersecurity in the EU.
The purpose of this SI is threefold: to increase our understanding with regards to business-related barriers and challenges stemming from the NIS directive, to strengthen the capacity of both public and private sectors on protection of critical infrastructure, including Internet, cyber and tourism security, in order to prevent and react in an efficient manner to potential risks and threats to related facilities and to promote awareness and understanding of the necessary balance between economic and security issues. Paper submissions: Submission to this special issue is open articles that can address issues on cyber Security of Critical Infrastructures. All the submitted papers will be peer reviewed by the Guest Editors and reviewers of the Special Issue.
