The European Conference on e-Learning was established 19 years ago. It has been held in France, Portugal, England, The Netherlands, Greece and Portugal to mention only a few of the countries who have hosted it. ECEL is generally attended by participants from more than 40 countries and attracts an interesting combination of academic scholars, practitioners and individuals who are engaged in various aspects of e-Learning. Among other journals, the Electronic Journal of e-Learning publishes a special edition of the best papers presented at this conference. ECEL 2020 is being hosted by University of Applied Sciences HTW Berlin, Germany.
This conference will also host the 6th e-Learning Excellence Awards.
e-Learning today encompasses many different things relating to both the technology, the techniques and the pedagogy. A blended learning design cycle sets goals, works out how these goals are best achieved, and then fills out the appropriate methods of learning. In this way, e-learning can be chosen as a method of learning, and can be selected for its true value.
At ECEL 2020 we are seeking examples of great course design as well as examples of good practice, showing the real value of e-learning innovations. We are also interested in the evaluation of e-learning applications.
