Prof. Alexander Korsunsky
Engineering Science and Fellow, Trinity College, Oxford
Alexander Korsunsky received his degree of Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) from Merton College, Oxford, following undergraduate education in theoretical physics. His current appointment is Professor of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford and Trinity College.
Prof Korsunsky co-authored books on fracture mechanics (Springer) and elasticity (CUP), and published over 200 papers in scholarly periodicals on the subjects ranging from neutron and synchrotron X-ray diffraction analysis and the prediction of fatigue strength to micro-cantilever bio-sensors, size effects and scaling transitions in systems and structures.
Prof Korsunsky’s research team at Oxford has involved members from almost every part of the globe (UK, FR, DE, IT, China, India, Korea, Malaysia, South Africa).

Prof. ChobinMakabe
University of the Ryukyus, Japan
ChobinMakabe obtained his PhD from Kyushu University, Japan in 1985.
Since 2002, he has been working as a professor in Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of the Ryukyus, Japan. He is also the Chairman of Bosai Research Center for Island Regions in University of the Ryukyus, Japan.
His research interests include Fracture behavior of Carbon composites, Fatigue life and cracks behavior, Method of arresting crack growth, Corrosion fatigue. Prof. Makabe has published more than 100 papers in journals, domestic and international.

Prof. TjokordaGdeTirtaNindhia
Udayana University, Indonesia
TjokordaGdeTirtaNindhiareceived Doctor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from GadjahMada University (UGM) Yogyakarta, Indonesia on August 2003, with major field of study was Material Engineering.
His current job is as Full Professor in the field of Material Engineering at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Faculty, Udayana University, Jimbaran, Bali, Indonesia. His research interest covering subjects such as, biomaterial, waste recycle, failure analyses, ceramic, metallurgy, composite, renewable energy, and environmental friendly manufacturing.

 One day tour to Explore Hong Kong
The organizer committee will organize One Day Tour Trip on March 14 for participants.
