Call For Papers

Call for Papers–Symposium on Regulating Big Data
Cleveland Marshall College of Law
April 8, 2016

This Symposium is convened by the Cleveland State Law Review, the flagship law journal at the Cleveland Marshall College of Law

About the Symposium
Today businesses are continually developing more sophisticated means of collecting and using data. Deliberate attacks to attempt to access this sensitive information have increased as well, yet a comprehensive regulatory scheme has not developed at the same rapid pace. This conference is an opportunity to address this issue by creating a dialogue between regulated entities and government agencies in a way that promotes a creative legal approach to ensuring security and privacy.
This symposium will be part of a larger three day event meant to launch the Center for Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection.at the Cleveland Marshall College of Law. By pairing with the Center we hope to integrate various technical, business and legal perspectives to address privacy and cyber-risk management concerns.

Eligibility
Submissions are invited from scholars and practitioners of all ranks.

The Cleveland State Law Review intends to publish the papers in a special symposium issue of a law journal.
