Invited Session on Intelligent Data Analysis and Applications under the frame of the 8th International KES Conference on INTELLIGENT DECISION TECHNOLOGIES
June 15th-17th, 2016, Tenerife, Spain http://idt-16.kesinternational.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Call for Papers --------------- The session solicits papers on all aspects of intelligent support for data analysis, with particular interest in those tailored for specific applications. Intelligent data analysis includes not only standard approaches and ready solutions to known and widely studied problems, but offers also - either novel applications of established techniques to complex systems, - or new methodologies and frameworks proposed to assist in data mining and knowledge discovery. Intelligent data analysis enables to select these approaches which provide some insight or perspective to patterns in analysed datasets, give the most promising results, and satisfy certain requirements. We hope that theory and applications presented at the KES-IDT 16 will be of interest to researchers and practitioners related to intelligent data analysis. Topics covering applications and academic research are included, but not limited to: - Data Mining - Knowledge Discovery - Machine Learning - Applications in Bioinformatics - Intelligent Systems - Decision Support Systems - Rough Sets - Artificial Intelligence - Databases Important Dates --------------- Paper submission deadline 10th January, 2016 Acceptance notification 15th February, 2016 Final version submission 7th March, 2016 Conference dates 15th-17th June, 2016 Contributions ------------- All submissions will be refereed by at least two experts in the field based on originality, significance, quality and clarity. Papers must be written in English and prepared according to the detailed KES IDT 2016 guidelines (http://idt-16.kesinternational.org/submission.php). Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. The conference proceedings will be published by Springer as book chapters in a volume of the KES Smart Innovation Systems and Technologies series, submitted for indexing in Scopus and Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) and the Web of Science. NOTICE: All papers must be submitted in electronic form (PDF format) through the PROSE Online Paper Submission system (http://idt-16.kesinternational.org/prose.php). For the final version each paper must be accompanied by the source text files prepared in LaTeX.
