Call For Papers

Call for Papers, Participation, Track Papers and Grad Poster


In co-operation with ACM, ACM SIGKDD and ACM SIGMOD .


The annual IDEAS conference is a top international forum for data engineering researchers, practitioners, developers, and application users to explore revolutionary ideas and results, and to exchange techniques, tools, and experiences.


We invite participation of all interested in this meeting which provides an insight into original research contributions relating to all aspects of database engineering defined broadly, and particularly topics of emerging interest describing work on integrating new technologies into products and applications, on experiences with existing and novel techniques, and on the identification of unsolved challenges.

IDEAS ' 16 is being held in co-operation with ACM, SIGKDD and SIGMOD.


Submission Instructions, Deadline

Submissions and registration for participation is through ConfSys. Please see instruction in: about ConfSys

Papers should be submitted using the IDEAS 2016 'event' before 20th March 2016 (EST). When submitting ensure that the current event in ConfSys is IDEAS16 and choose the General Pool or one of the tracks.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Program Committee on the basis of technical quality, relevance to conference topics of interest, originality, significance, and clarity. For double blind review, author names and affiliations must not appear in the submissions, and bibliographic references must be adjusted to preserve author anonymity.

However names of ALL authors must be entered on the paper information page in ConfSys for the submission.

March 31, 2016: EXTENDED Papers/Posters submission deadline
May 8, 2016: Notification of acceptance and start of author early registration
June 10, 2016: Author regular registration deadline and Camera-ready upload to ConfSys deadline

due to concern regarding carbon dioxide foot print, travel budget
restrictions or last minute personal issues:

Even though it would be a shame not to be able to meet your
colleagues, we would allow the possibility of making remote
presentation via appropriate pre-recorded media
uploaded(presentation with audio narration) to ConfSys and
availability on Firefox hello or skype to interact with those
present in Concordia University.

Conference Publication

The conference proceedings will be published by ACM in their digital library; the ISBN assigned by ACM to IDEAS16 is: 978-1-4503-4118-9

All accepted papers are classified not only by ACM but also in most respected indexing systems.

A version of the proceedings to be distributed to the conference attendees would be prepared by BytePress.
