Call For Papers

Cranfield University and Herbert Smith Freehills are pleased to invite you to the “Science for the Green Economy” conference – A national debate and early career showcase, taking place at Cranfield University on 13 & 14 January 2016.

Building on our successful seminar series, our first national debate will explore the green economy technology/management interface. With leading contributors from industry, government and academia, the debate will explore ‘clean tech’ support for businesses of all sizes, the stimulation packages to move us to a low carbon economy, and the policy and regulatory environment in which new technologies might thrive. The debate will be followed by an early career showcase and poster exhibition, including short vignettes of current research on how “to live well, within the limits of our planet”, covering growth, well-being and security.

As an early career researcher you are entitled to free registration to the showcase on Day 2, Thursday the 14th of January 2016. If selected to present a vignette (3 slides max) or a poster, you will gain free access to the national debate on Day 1, Wednesday the 13th of January 2016. Please submit your abstract (150 words maximum) for the early career showcase to Savina Velotta no later than 17.00 on Thursday 12th November 2015. Please email s.velotta@cranfield.ac.uk to receive an applicaiton form.
