Conference Scope: ------------------------- 2023 IEEE AMCAI is the premier Afro-Mediterranean meeting in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Its purpose is to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners from both Mediterranean and African countries (not only – and also from all countries of the world) to discuss and present their research results around Artificial Intelligence and its applications. The conference emphasizes applied and theoretical researches in Artificial Intelligence to solve real problems in all fields, including engineering, science, education, agriculture, industry, automation and robotics, transportation, business and finance, design, medicine and biomedicine, bioinformatics, human-computer interactions, cyberspace, security, image and video recognition, agriculture, etc. Scientists, engineers, and decision-makers from government, industry, and academia are invited to contribute in order to make successful this first edition of IEEE AMCAI. All papers should be in PDF format, and submitted electronically through EasyChair at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=amcai2023 Papers must be written in English, between 6 to 8 pages (including all figures, tables, and references). Submitted papers should be original and not published elsewhere or intended to be published during the review period. The contributions should address research questions that relate to one of the topics listed above. Papers not following these guidelines may be rejected without review. Also, submissions received after the due date, exceeding the length limit, or not appropriately structured may also not be considered. To ensure high quality, all submissions are blind peer-reviewed by at least three reviewers. Call for Special Sessions: ------------------------- The 2023 IEEE AMCAI invites proposals for Special Sessions/Tracks to be held during the conference as a set of oral and poster presentations that are highly specialized in some particular theme applied in/to Artificial Intelligence. Special Session proposals have to be submitted electronically through EasyChair at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=amcai2023 before June 20, 2023 (Extended).
