Introduction

Scalable computing is the core of all complex scientific and business applications. It handles the massive growth of data by increasing the capacity of the system, network or storage. However, the main challenge is to extract valuable information and insights from this growing data. The resulting information is added to the existing information to make a valuable decision. Here, the scalable computing plays an important role for making such decision. Therefore, many researchers are finding cost-effective solutions for knowledge discovery by using scalable computing.

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers for this special theme issue on Scalable Computing for Knowledge Discovery on or before November 15th, 2016. All submissions must be original and should not be under review by another publication (N. B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has been completely re-written and if appropriate written permissions have been obtained from any copyright holders of the original paper). INTERESTED AUTHORS SHOULD CONSULT THE JOURNAL’S GUIDELINES FOR MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSIONS at http://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributorresources/ before-you-write/. All submitted papers will be reviewed on a double-blind, peer review basis. Papers must follow APA style for reference citations. All papers are refereed through a blind peer review process. All papers must be submitted online through E-editorial discovery system.
