Production ramp-up is bridging the gap between product development and series produc- tion. The management of the ramp-up process is vital for the success of manufacturing companies. External and internal disturbances and organizational dynamics endanger this success. To cope with these frictions, companies need to adapt rapidly and efficiently to these disturbances. Therefore, they need to build agility, which is the ability to alter any aspect of the company in response to a changing environment. Topics influencing the success of ramp-ups are the scope of the ICRM 2016 with a particular focus on agility.
