Call For Papers

The Florida Conference of Historians invites faculty, independent scholars, and undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the 56th annual meeting to be held at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, February 18-20, 2016. The FCH welcomes proposals in the form of panels, individual papers, media, and posters on all historical subjects.

Proposals are due by December 12, 2015
Hotel reservations at the conference rate are due by January 9, 2016
Advance registration deadline is due by February 13, 2016

Selected papers will be considered for publication in the FCH Annals, the organization's peer-reviewed journal. Papers published in the journal are eligible to compete for prizes in several categories.

We are pleased to announce that this year's keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Connie Lester (University of Central Florida), who serves as the Director of the digital project RICHES (Regional Initiative for Collecting the History, Experiences, and Stories) of Central Florida and is the editor of the Florida Historical Quarterly.
