Emerging Technologies Track (ETT) at CASCON 2015
Call for Position Papers https://www-927.ibm.com/ibm/cas/cascon/positionPaper.jsp Goals Emerging technologies, including wearable devices, social and cloud computing, big data analytics, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and Web of Things (WoT), promise to fundamentally transform the information technology landscape. The convergence of these technologies offer amazing opportunities for advanced and innovative solutions in many industries. Major research efforts are under way to combine emerging technologies to solve critical problems in domains such as health care, finance, manufacturing, agriculture, and energy. The goals of this Emerging Technologies Track are: • To provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to share their visions, innovative ideas, and insights in the general area of computing technology and applications. • To encourage research collaboration and discussion, including early feedback and industrial validation. Scope The track addresses the same topics of interest as those of the technical research papers. We invite position papers to describe a well-defined and novel idea at an early stage. As opposed to regular research papers, the submissions are not expected to have a solid and complete evaluation. The submissions should focus on innovative ideas or early results, bringing emerging technologies and new research directions to solve real world problems. Preliminary experiments that provide initial support for the proposed ideas are welcome. Submission Guidelines A submission must be an original, unpublished work of at most four pages in the ACM proceedings format, http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates. The papers must be submitted electronically as PDF files via the EasyChair Conference System. Accepted position papers will be included in the conference proceedings published by CASCON and archived in the ACM Digital Library.
