Submissions on the topics listed within the following five conference tracks are welcome.
Architectures and Technology - Heterogeneous computing: multi-core systems, FPGAs, GPUs and DSPs - Low-power architectures - Fault-tolerant architectures - Security and cryptography for FPGA design - 2.5D and 3D architectures - Advanced on-chip interconnect technologies - Analogue and mixed-signal arrays - Emerging device technologies Applications and Benchmarks - Aerospace, automotive and industrial automation - Bioinformatics and medical systems - Communications, software-defined networking and the Internet-of-Things - High-performance computing: finance and database acceleration - Big data analytics - Embedded and cyber-physical systems - Signal processing and software-defined radio - Benchmarks for FPGA designs Design Methods and Tools - System-level design tools - High-level synthesis - Hardware/software co-design - Logic optimisation and technology mapping - Optimisations for power efficiency - Packing, placement and routing - Rapid prototyping and emulation - Testing, debugging and verification - Open-source tools Self-aware and Adaptive Systems - Self-awareness in FPGA-based systems - Self-adaptive architectures and design techniques - Virtualisation of reconfigurable hardware - Runtime resource management - Dynamic partial reconfiguration Surveys, Trends and Education - Deployment of FPGAs in new application domains - History/surveys of reconfigurable logic - Roadmaps of reconfigurable computing platforms - Teaching courses and tutorials The call for papers is also available in PDF format. Please note the following important dates for submission. - Abstract submission deadline 27 March 2015 - Full paper submission deadline 3 April 2015 - Acceptance notification 5 June 2015 - Camera-ready and author registration deadline 26 June 2015 Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished contributions as six-page papers in IEEE double-column format to be considered as regular papers. Submissions accepted as posters will be limited to four pages. The conference proceedings will be published at IEEE Xplore. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit extended versions to a special issue in ACM TRETS. FPL's PhD forum is intended to be a venue for PhD students to present their work in progress and preliminary results. A special poster session will be arranged for students to receive feedback from other researchers. Extended abstracts for PhD forum contributions will appear as two pages in the proceedings. All contributions must be submitted electronically in PDF format. The submission link will appear here in due course. We highly encourage authors to make their research results – including systems, benchmarks and tools – freely available in order to gain research and design productivity within the FPL community. We further invite authors to present working demonstration systems or tools in conjunction with the PhD forum. |
