The developments in the area of communication systems and wireless networks and their integration in different sectors successfully led to the emergence of the new generation of networks and computing systems (NGNCSs). The objectives of such networks usually depend on the type of the application and they are characterized mainly by the limited resources, the vulnerability of security and their high requirement in terms of quality communication. The NGNCSs are more and more used in sensitive areas such as e-santé, multimedia and the monitoring of the environment where the processed information is very important. In this case, it's necessary to take into account the communication parameters. In fact, a good management of these parameters ensures a reliable and an efficient service.
In this workshop, researchers are encouraged to submit papers focused on the design, development, analysis or optimization of communication architectures and protocols for better performance of the new generations of networks and computing systems in term of quality of services, energy efficiency, adaptation and self-organization, data reliability and timeliness of their transfer, security and protection of privacy. This workshop targets to gather researchers from academia and industrial sectors to present analytical research, simulations, practical results, position papers addressing the pros and cons of specific proposals, and advances in communication architectures and protocols in the context of NGNCSs. The topics suggested by the workshop can be discussed in term of concepts, state of the art, standards, protocols, solutions, deployments, implementations, running experiments and applications. Topics: Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Communication algorithms and protocols oriented QoS and Energy Performance analysis and optimization of different communications solutions Distributed and embedded communication architectures Channel allocation algorithms, access control and detection losses techniques Bio-inspired and based datamining approaches for efficient communications Transport and routing techniques supporting quality of services Energy saving and power control protocols Low-power physique layer solutions Efficient communications oriented services Intelligent management of networks and systems resources Exploitation of optimization and mathematical approaches for efficient communication Communications between detecting, monitoring and supervising systems Experimental results and future standards Paper submission: Authors should submit draft papers (as Postscript, PDF or MSWord file). The total length of a paper should not exceed 10 pages IEEE style (including tables, figures and references). IEEE style templates are available here. Papers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the workshop. Preprints containing accepted papers will be published on a USB memory stick provided to the FedCSIS participants. Only papers presented at the conference will be published in Conference Proceedings and submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore® database. Conference proceedings will be published in a volume with ISBN, ISSN and DOI numbers and posted at the conference WWW site. Conference proceedings will be indexed in BazEkon and submitted for indexation in: Thomson Reuters - Conference Proceedings Citation Index, SciVerse Scopus, Inspec, Index Copernicus, DBLP Computer Science Bibliographyand Google Scholar Extended versions of selected papers presented during the conference will be published as Special Issue(s). Organizers reserve right to move accepted papers between FedCSIS events.
