Research in mobile computing and wireless communication technologies along with the proliferation of next generation of devices such as smart phones, portable tablets, and wearable devices is now turning to novel concepts to address the challenge of mobile data analysing and knowledge management. This special session addresses issues of mobile data management with a special focus on data processing. The goal of the special session is to build a forum for researchers from academy and industry to investigate challenging and innovative research issues in the subject, which combines mobile data analytics and explores creative concepts, theories, innovative technologies and intelligent solutions. We intend this special session to act as an initial place where people from different areas can find a forum to discuss issues of data management and processing in new and emerging mobile computing environments. Potential participants may come from communities of data mining, mobile computing, expert knowledge management, or any other areas related to mobile data processing, analysing, managing and etc., in order to present their state-of-the-art progress and visions on the various overlaps across those disciplines. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
1. Activity and behavior mining from mobility data 2. Contextual mobile data analysis 3. Data quality and uncertainty issues study on mobility data 4. Discovery of mobility patterns 5. Integration of heterogeneous mobility data sources 6. Mobility social and crowdsourcing applications 7. Query processing and optimization for mobile users 8. Storing, indexing and querying of mobile data 9. Theoretic and/or empirical modelling of mobility data Important Date Paper Submission Deadline: June 7, 2015 Author Notification: July 15, 2015 Author Registration: July 27, 2015 Final Manuscript: August 1, 2015 Paper Submission All papers must be submitted electronically and in PDF format. The material presented should be original and not published or under submission elsewhere. Authors should submit full papers, including figures and references of up to 12 pages, and following strictly the LNCS/LNAI Proceedings Manuscript style (see http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html). Submissions longer than 12 pages will be rejected without a review. All papers will be under the reviews of at least 2 reviewers. All participants with accepted papers will be able to present their works. Papers must be submitted electronically as a PDF file through EasyChair conference management system .(https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ksem2015). Structured Presentation and Discussion In order to enable maximum interaction and constructive feedback, the presentation and discussion of papers will be structured. Each presenter has 15 minutes for his presentation. Each presenter must speak in English and use slides. At last, the special session will provide a group discussion session to allow participants to exchange their ideas, to share their findings. Paper Publication Accepted papers will be contained in the proceeding of the KSEM2015 main track, which is listed in CCF Rank-C and will be published by LNAI and indexed by EI Compendex (pending final confirmation). At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register and present their work at the conference; otherwise the paper will not be included in the proceedings. Authors of selected high quality papers will be invited to expand their papers for possible inclusion in SCI-indexed International Journals such as Integrated Computer-Aided Engineering (IF 4.667), etc. Organizing Committee Co-chairs Li Liu, National University of Singapore, Singapore Li Li, Southwest University, China PC Members Shiping Chen, CSIRO, Australia Rong Xie, Wuhan University, China Huawen Liu, Zhejiang Normal University, China Lifei Chen, Fujian Normal University, China Xianchuan Yu, Beijing Normal University, China Yufang Zhang, Chongqing University, China Ying Xia, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China Jason Teutsch, National University of Singapore, Singapore Guoxin Su, National University of Singapore, Singapore Xianyue Li, Lanzhou University, China Yonggang Lu, Lanzhou University, China Zigang Huang, Arizona State University, USA |
