Call For Papers

LA-CCI is an acronym that refers to the Latin America Congress on Computational Intelligence (CI) that currently includes Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela all of them with plenty of research groups in CI eager to develop the area and exchange experiences/personnel. The 2nd LA-CCI Congress on Computational Intelligence (LA-CCI 2015) is an endeavor that teams up research groups and communities of these Countries around Computational Intelligence. The second LA-CCI (of a series) will be held Curitiba, Brazil from october 13th to 16th , 2015, alongside the 12th CBIC (Congresso Brasileiro de Inteligência Computacional). The objective of LA-CCI 2015 is to provide a high-level international forum for scientists, researchers, engineers, and educators to disseminate their latest research results and exchange views of the future research directions on Neural & Learning Systems, Fuzzy & Stochastic Modeling, Evolutionary & Swarm Computation, and their related applications. Likewise, CBIC aims the same high goals inside Brazil, following a long standing tradition that spans over 22 years.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

Submission and Registration are important actions of your participation on our Congress that have to be taken separately, one after the other.

IMPORTANT: before submitting your manuscript, please use the right template (IEEE journal template), check page limits (maximum of 6 pages), avoid color images and read carefully the explanation below. The template for ALL papers are of IEEE and can be downloaded here =) http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

Our Congress has two possible manuscript destinations, namely: (1) LA-CCI (International) and (2) CBIC (Brazilian, i.e. National). Each one of them will have their own review process (and Program Committee) – so you should select the one that suits your scientific objectives towards publicity of your work. The rationale for your informed decision should consider the features below:

(1) LA-CCI: This should be your selection for sending submissions if your article is written in English. Authors submitting to LA-CCI are implicitly acknowledging that papers will undergo stricter review criteria (including three reviewers per paper). The bright side is that the best articles will likely be published* in the high impact journals that have already committed special issues to our Congress.

Follow this link to submit papers to LA-CCI =) https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=lacci2015

(2) CBIC: This should be your selection if you command: Portuguese and Spanish languages. The plan is to have at least two reviewers allocated per paper and regular review criteria. The bright side is that registration fees will be a little smaller than LA-CCI.

Follow this link to submit papers to CBIC =) https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cbic2015

* Articles selected for any special issue Articles, will go through an additional review process (depending on each journal policy). So we cannot guaranteed straight forward publications without fulfillment of further requests, but we will try to make this extra process fast.
