Welcome to COHDA 2021
We welcome you to join us online on Monday and Tuesday, December 6-7, 2021 for the 7th Conference on Human Development in Asia (COHDA 2021), which will be held as a virtual event online from Tokyo, Japan. Due to ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as travel restrictions, curfews and business shutdowns in major metropolitan areas, this conference is being held online. All oral and poster presenters are invited to join us either live via Zoom or to submit pre-recorded oral presentations or virtual posters. COHDA 2021 is being held alongside the 7th Conference on Sustainable Tourism in Asia (COSTA 2021). Both conferences are convened by INTESDA in affiliation with the the Parasitic Disease Research Center, Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand and the Family Medical Co., Ltd., Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. About COHDA 2021 Over the past two years, the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every community large and small throughout the world and has challenged to retool and rethink how we teach and how students learn in all subject fields. The change in thinking has been astounding considering that most teachers and students alike had little, if any, expertise with technology apart from social media. Ironically, the pandemic has been a boon for communication technology companies such as Zoom, 247Meeting, Bluejeans engaged in creating cloud-based platforms for teleconferencing, telecommuting, distance education. Only a few years ago, the notion of earning a degree or online or doing a virtual presentation in an international conference served as an alternative option for people with busy schedules, travel difficulties or limited financial resources. Today, of course, the integration of technology and education has transformed the way in which we teach, learn, share ideas and research and even network. The rollout of mass vaccinations and the decline in infection rates has given some teachers a sense of cautiously-optimistic security. As teachers reimagine schools for the post-COVID period, let’s consider some important questions: What have you learned from remote-learning that you would like to introduce into the classroom? How has teaching remotely changed your view of students, teaching, and yourself as a teacher? Call for Proposals With the theme of ‘Education Transformation,’ we are holding the 7th Conference on Human Development in Asia as a virtual event. Since the pandemic is still ongoing and travel has not resumed, the virtual format is an ideal setting and a safe presentation format to network, make friends, discuss research, share ideas and hear from others about the impact, challenges and changes to education as we move forward to a post-COVID-19 world. The Final Deadline for Proposals of 250 words in English is Friday, November 12, 2021. Click on the Link Below to Submit your Proposal Today!
