Call For Papers

30th International Florida Artificial Intelligence Research Society Conference (FLAIRS 30)
Special Track on Case-Based Reasoning

Call for Papers

Goal of the Track:
This track is intended to gather AI researchers and practitioners with an
interest in CBR and related fields to present and discuss developments in
CBR theory and application as well as possibilities for collaboration,
integration, and sharing of ideas, experience, and best practices between
the CBR community and other AI research communities.

Who Might be Interested:
AI researchers and practitioners with an interest in CBR and related research
areas. We are actively seeking submissions that can help create or
(re)strengthen connections with research communities whose interests overlap
with those of the CBR community, including Computational Analogy,
Computational Creativity, Goal Reasoning, Cognitive Systems, and Game AI.

Topics of Interest:
* Foundations of CBR
* Methods for CBR (e.g., representation, indexing, retrieval, adaptation)
* Evaluation Methods for CBR
* Practical Applications of CBR
* Textual CBR
* CBR and Creativity
* CBR and Design
* Distributed CBR
* Case Base Maintenance
* CBR in the Health Sciences
* CBR Integrations
* Case-Based Planning
* CBR and Games
* CBR and Recommender Systems
* CBR Tools and Methodologies
* Case-Based Agents
* Reasoning about Time in CBR
* Process-Oriented CBR
* CBR and Knowledge Discovery
* CBR and Cognitive SYstems
* Computational Analogy

Note: We invite original papers (i.e. work not submitted to other conferences
prior to or during the FLAIRS CBR Special Track reviewing process).

Conference Proceedings:
Papers will be refereed and all accepted papers will appear in the conference
proceedings, which will be published by AAAI Press.

Submission Guidelines
Interested authors should format their papers according to the AAAI formatting
guidelines. The papers should be original work (i.e. work not submitted to
other conferences prior to or during the FLAIRS CBR Special Track reviewing
process).

We accept the following types of submissions: (1) full papers for oral
presentation (up to 6 pages), (2) short papers for poster presentation (up to
4 pages), and (3) poster abstracts (up to 250 words). Rejected full paper
submissions may be accepted as short papers.

Paper submissions are due by November 21, 2016.
Poster abstract submissions are due by February 6, 2017.

The reviewing is a double-blind process. Fake author names and affiliations
must be used on submitted papers to provide double-blind reviewing.

Papers must be submitted as PDF through the EasyChair conference system, which
can be accessed through the main conference web site.

Questions regarding the Case-Based Reasoning Special Track should be
addressed to the track co-chairs:
