The First International Workshop on Service Computing and Communications Systems (SCCS 2012) Co-located with the The First International Conference on Future Generation Communication Technologies (FGCT 2012) December 12-14, 2012 British Computer Society, London, UK (http://www.socio.org.uk/fgct/sccs.php) All the accepted workshop papers will be published and indexed in the IEEE Xplore. The proceedings will be further indexed in many global databases. Services oriented Architecture (SoA) is a framework which provides a layered architecture for organising software resources as services, so that they can be deployed, discovered and combined to produce new services. Web services provide a favourable solution for solving the problem of integration among autonomous and heterogeneous software systems. Therefore, SoA is a prevailing software engineering production, which ends the domination of the traditional, distributed system platforms. The ability to deliver reliable and dependable enterprise applications based on SoA of higher quality within budget continues to challenge most IT organisations, such as Electronic Banking, Telecommunication, Airlines and Medical systems. This workshop bridge this gap by providing theoretical and applied approaches, which address different challenges in order to help organizations to build communications systems based on business processes, services, and applications more efficiently and effectively. Topic may include business modelling, verification, monitoring, solution creation, service delivery, and software architecture design. Topics include, but are not limited to: 1. Formal Methods for SOA 2. Service Modeling 3. Service Delivery, Deployment and Maintenance Service 4. Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Solution Stacks 5. Services Computing in comunication networks 6. Service Security, Privacy and Access Control for comunication systems 7. Service Level Agreements (SLAs) 8. Quality of Services (QoS) 9. Service Semantic for comunication systems 10. Business Process Management and Web Services 11. Web Services in comunication enviroments 12. Service-Oriented Business Collaboration 13. Model-Driven Web Service Engineering 14. SoA Management and governance Authors are invited to submit full papers up to 6 pages describing the results of their research, or of their innovative, practical applications relevant to the workshop topics, not having been submitted or published elsewhere. All papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee on the basis of technical quality, relevance, signicance, originality and clarity. Submissions should be formatted according to the IEEE proceedings guidelines, and should be in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) or Word Document Format (DOC) only. Please follow the link http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html for complete IEEE template. Papers can be submitted at EasyChair: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sccs20120 All accepted workshop papers will be indexed in IEEE Xplore and dblp. Besides, modified versions of the workshop papers are eligible for publication in the special issues of the journals listed in the home page.
