CALL FOR BOOK CHAPTERS

BOOK TITLE:
“Nature-Inspired Computing for Control Systems”

To be published at Springer

EDITOR:
Dr. Hiram Eredín Ponce Espinosa
Faculty of Engineering, Universidad Panamericana,
Augusto Rodin 428, 03920 Mexico City, Mexico.

MOTIVATION:
Real-world control applications are difficult to tackle with conventional control systems because, in most of the cases, they present uncertainty, noise and nonlinearities. In that sense, intelligent control systems have been considered for designing robust and predictive controls, offering better performance than conventional control systems. However, new natural inspired computing have proved to improve the performance over intelligent control systems, mainly using meta-heuristic optimization methods, social-communication techniques, chemical-structure based learning algorithms, and so on.

Thus, the aim of this book is to present recent advances in nature-inspired computing applied for control systems. Readers with conventional control systems background will be motivated to undergo with these cutting-edge technologies, and advanced readers will be able to know and deeply understand a broad perspective of different methods and techniques.

SUBMISSION PROPOSALS:
Researchers, scientists and academics are invited to submit their theoretical and experimental works about studies in nature-inspired computing for control systems. Case studies and commercial applications are also welcome. Submissions can be focused on, but not limited to, the following topics:

- Artificial neural networks based control systems.
- Genetic algorithms based control systems.
- Swarm intelligence in robotics.
- Artificial organic networks based control systems.
- Artificial hydrocarbon networks based control systems.
- Nature-inspired ensembles for control systems.
- Biologically inspired control for multi-agent systems.
- Design of naturally inspired methods and its applications.
- Chemically inspired algorithms and its applications.
- Unconventional control systems.

Submitted manuscripts will be refereed by at least two independent and expert reviewers for quality, correctness, originality, and relevance.
