XX Congreso Iberoamericano de Reconocimiento de Patrones
XX Ibero-American Conference on Pattern Recognition

Nov. 9th-12th, 2015
Montevideo, Uruguay

---------------------------
WELCOME
---------------------------

The 20th Iberoamerican Congress on Pattern Recognition (CIARP 2015) will
be held in Montevideo, Uruguay. CIARP 2015 is organized by the Uruguayan
IAPR Chapter, including members from Universidad de la República and
Universidad Católica. Held every year, CIARP is the most important
Iberoamerican conference in pattern recognition, computer vision and
multimedia. As in all previous editions, CIARP 2015 will be a fruitful
forum for exchanging scientific results and experiences, sharing new
knowledge, and promoting cooperation between researchers

---------------------------
VENUE
---------------------------

CIARP 2015 will be held in the Edificio Polifuncional del Faro, Facultad
de Ingeniería, Universidad de la República
in Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay. Facultad de Ingeniería is
located in Punta Carretas, one of Montevideo's more elegant
neighborhoods, one block away from the Ramirez Beach and the Montevidean
boardwalk, which spans over 20km. Various excellent restaurants and
hotels are located within walking distance, making it a perfect spot for
tourism and recreation within the city.

Uruguay is a small, beautiful and peaceful country in the subtropical
region of South America.
It is best known for its many beaches, its excellent meat, its passion
for soccer, and its local culture which includes,
among other styles, its afro-american Candombe music and its Murga
musical ensembles.
