================================================= Second International Workshop on Semantic Technologies in Ubiquitous, Massive and Smart Learning (STUMS 2015) joint with IEEE INCoS 2015 LOCATION AND DATES Tamkang University, Taipei, TAIWAN, September 2 - 4, 2015 SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES A Seamless Learning experience, for an individual, is characterized by the capacity to sustain the continuity of learning by connecting learning activities across locations, times, technologies, social settings and integrating different approaches to teaching, learning and assessment. The main anticipated impact of this capacity is to obtain no apparent gaps between different frames of an holisitic learning experience. Such frames can be filled, for instance, with formal, non formal, informal-intentional or accidental learning activities supported by various technologies. Hence, Smart Learning Environments, Mobile Learning, Context-aware Learning and ultimately, Ubiquitous Learning can be considered as parts which have to fit together representing the whole Seamless Learning experience. In such a scenario, STUMS 2015 aims to provide a forum to investigate approaches, frameworks and technologies which sustain continuity in Seamless Learning experiences, alignment of formal and informal activities and adaptation of both the whole experience and its parts. The main goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners who are interested in addressing issues and challenges related to Seamless Learning mostly, but not exclusively, by leveraging on Semantic Technologies and Computational Intelligence techniques. Interdisciplinary works (e.g. fusion of pedagogies and technologies), theoretical papers and papers describing practical experiences (also in designing and developing systems and applications) will be welcome. TOPICS The topics of interest include but are not limited to: - Ontology Learning from Informal Learning Activities - Ontology-driven methodologies and tools for Instructional Design - Ontology Alignment algorithms and frameworks - Adaptive/Personalized Learning and Intelligent Tutoring Systems in Seamless Learning - Methodologies and technologies for Learning and Teaching in Smart Education - Game-based Education in the Smart City - Integration and Interoperability for Seamless Learning - Big Data Analytics for TEL - Data-driven Learning and Assessment - Affective Computing and Emotion Detection in Smart Learning Environments - Situation, Context, Learner and Group Modeling - Context-awareness and Situation-awareness in Seamless Learning - Social Semantic Web as Enabling Platform for MOOCs and MOOC Networks - Semantic and Social Sensor Networks supporting Situation Assessment in Learning Scenarios - Semantic, Mobile and Gesture-based Interfaces - Social and Semantic Technologies to enable Serendipitous Learning - Collective Knowledge supporting (semi) automatic generation of Learning Content - Data Visualization and Visual Data Analysis for Decision Support Systems in Education IMPORTANT DATES Submission Deadline: March 25, 2015 Notification of Acceptance: May 25, 2015 Camera-Ready Submission: June 25, 2015 Registration: June 25, 2015 Workshop and INCoS Main Conference: September 2 – 4, 2015 TECHNICAL COMMITTEE Demetrios G.
