THE NETWORKED SOCIETY
Modern society is a networked society permeated by information technology (IT), defining ECIS 2015’s Conference Theme.
Networks, perceived as a group of organisations and people connected on several aspects who exchange information, contacts, and experience for professional or social purposes, leave their mark on almost every area of our society and promise diverse advantages to those involved.
From a technical perspective, enormous amounts of information can be communicated to a larger number of recipients faster than ever before. The evolution of networks is heavily influenced by the extensive use of Information Systems, which has enabled co-evolving advanced quantitative and qualitative forms of networking.
ECIS 2015 should be a meeting place for European and also non-European researchers in the field of Information Systems from various cultures and countries and should reflect the specific and innovative research in information systems dealing with the overarching networked society.
We are happy to welcoming you to Muenster, one of the cradles of IS research and education in Germany!

FORMAT
Papers for ECIS 2015 cover all aspects of information systems, broadly defined, and may take the form of completed research papers and research-in-progress.
Research papers should document established results and be presented according to the highest academic standards.
Research-in-progress may address work still under development; academic rigor is, however, still expected.
Research papers, research-in-progress, and teaching cases will be published in the ECIS conference proceedings and made available in the AIS eLibrary (aisel.aisnet.org/ecis/).
Research papers and teaching cases will be presented in interactive conference track sessions.
Research-in-progress papers will be presented in a session specifically designed to allow interaction between authors and their interested colleagues.

GUIDELINES
Please go to the conference website www.ecis2015.eu for author guidelines. There, a Word document template and LaTeX document template are available that will simplify the layout of your submission.
Besides the conference there will also be a Doctoral Consortium, Panels, Workshops, Affiliated events and Social Events.
To organize a workshop or affiliated event, please check the separate call for workshops on the ECIS 2015 website. Please monitor our website and do not forget to have a look at the important dates page.

SUBMISSION
Authors should submit to the track that best fits the research. Research papers and research-in-progress papers are limited to 12 and 7 pages in length respectively. Teaching cases can be up to 14 pages long.
All submissions must use the Word or the LaTeX template on the website and be submitted as PDF.
Submissions to ECIS 2015 must be original and must NOT already have been published previously in a journal or conference proceedings, nor presented at another conference.
