Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
In 2014, EDCC, the European Dependable Computing Conference, has celebrated its 10th edition, which corresponds to 20th year of its existence. In parallel, EWDC, the European Workshop on Dependable Computing, celebrated its 14th edition. Since 2009, EDCC and EWDC have been held alternate years. In 2015, EDCC and EWDC are merging into a single annual conference, maintaining the original name EDCC. EDCC is intended to provide a regular international forum for bringing together specialists and practitioners in dependability, security, resilience, etc (referred to as dependability in short). It will also provide a natural meeting place for the large number of projects in dependability, to present their state of advancement and innovative results.
Original contributions are solicited on theory, techniques, systems, and tools for the design, validation, operation and evaluation of dependable and secure computing systems, covering any fault model, from traditional hardware and software faults to accidental and malicious human interactions. What is new in 2015 ? In addition to original papers on research, EDCC welcomes papers dedicated to dependability in practice: industrial applications, experience in introducing dependability in industry, use of new or mature dependability approaches to new challenging problems or domains, etc. Three distinguished papers will be selected among accepted papers and presented in a dedicated session of the conference program. In its new version, EDCC will offer a very unique event that will continue and leverage the history of past years of dependable computing, definitely mixing academic research and industrial experience being a forum to discuss today's challenges, and providing an umbrella for regular workshops. EDCC 2015 will feature several tracks, including invited speakers, full paper presentations, fast abstracts, a student forum and a set of cutting-edge workshops. There will be published proceedings from the conference. Topics The conference will have a broad range of topics, which includes, but is not limited to: Hardware and software architecture of dependable systems; Safety critical systems; Embedded and real-time systems; Cyber-physical systems (embedded systems; networked embedded systems; SCADA; automotive, aerospace, and medical systems; and smart grid) Cloud computing reliability and security; Dependable mobile and multimedia systems; Fault-tolerant networks and protocols; Autonomic and adaptive systems; Dependable virtualization VLSI dependability; Impact of manufacturing technology on dependability; Dependability modeling and tools; Testing and validation methods; Characterization techniques; Dependability benchmarking; Security of systems and networks; Intrusion-tolerant systems; Critical infrastructure protection; Bigdata and fault tolerance in databases and transactional systems; Socio-technical systems (e.g. virtual worlds; human-computer interaction; usable security; and online social networking) Dependability and security in business and e-commerce applications. The conference proceedings will be published by IEEE CS. |
