At ICE 2015 we are delighted to announce that selected papers (subject to usual peer reviews) will be published in the prestigious IEEE Transactions in Engineering Management journal. In parallel to this, ICE 2015 will continue our close relationship with other leading associated journals, namely - Technology Analysis and Strategic Management (TASM) and Technological Forecasting and Strategic Change (TF&C). As well as the possibility of submitting (selected papers) to these journals, we there will once again be an opportunity to interact with editors from our associated journals in a “Meet the Editors” workshop.

The Organizing Committee invites high quality papers to be presented at this premier international event. Submissions should contribute to a substantial, original and previously unpublished research in the topics of the conference. This includes, but is not limited to:

Theoretical research papers that provide new concepts in the domain of engineering, technology, and innovation;
Empirical studies and qualitative case studies that develop new insights;
System design and development papers that go beyond the pure description of systems and give insight into theory and effectiveness of the approach;
Verification and validation papers that evaluate the application of solutions.


The review committee is available to provide feedback on abstracts and paper ideas. Papers will be selected in a double blind refereeing process based on the submitted full papers. Final papers should have no more than 7.000 words (all inclusive) and should be in the correct format. The paper should clearly describe its purpose and relevance, reference to existing theories and related works, research methods used and major results. Papers are expected to show the following structure: (i) Introduction, (ii) Relation to existing theories and work, (iii) Research approach, (iv) Findings, (v) Conclusion, and (vi) References.

Review criteria will be (a) whether and (b) how the paper extends the existing body of knowledge in engineering, technology and innovation as its contribution, and (c) therefore its relevance for the conference topics, (d) the scientific quality of the research approach and (e) the clarity of presentation. Papers will only be accepted for review on the condition that the material is original, that it has not been copyrighted, published, presented or is currently submitted for consideration elsewhere. Based on the recommendations of the reviewers, the editorial committee will allocate submissions for oral presentation of papers and/or for poster presentations of notes. Speakers will be allocated 20 minutes for presentation and discussion of their paper. The official language of the conference is English.

The ICE conference will publish one paper per presenting author only. All accepted papers will be published in the digital conference proceedings provided at the conference, but only if the final papers and a full registration fee of at least one presenting author are received before the deadline and they conform to the layout guidelines. The conference proceedings will subsequently be made available via IEEE Xplore®, but only papers that were presented by an author at the conference will be so included.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit extensions of the presented work to special issues of international scientific journal. Papers must be submitted using the on line system Conftool portal, submitting your paper with the correct IEEE template (this means max. 9 IEEE pages): ICE 2015 IEEE template
Please take care of the proper IEEE template, also for references, pictures, notes, etc. Papers not properly formatted could be discarded by the International Organising Committe. Only .doc and .docx formats will be accepted by the Conftool portal.
