Scope

The area of Social Computing encompasses a large variety of
approaches to study social behaviour and social context by
computational means. It also includes methods to design
technologies for gathering, representation, processing and
dissemination of information in social systems. With the rapid
development of information and communication technologies,
the complexity and diversity of social structures and dynamics
have been increasing significantly. To analyse existing and
prospective social systems and to support their actors,
multi-disciplinary approaches and tools are required that
account for the (high) complexity and heterogeneity of social
context. As has been demonstrated by many studies, the agent
paradigm provides a promising basis for such approaches and
applications. This interdisciplinary special session provides
a platform for researchers and practitioners from computer
science, social and behavioural science, psychology, information
systems to exchange ideas and results on various aspects of agent
enabled social computing. Papers are solicited both on theories
and applications.

Topics

* Social Computing theories
* Social Computing with agents and multi-agent systems
* Social Computing guidelines for agents and multi-agent systems

Submission details

The papers will be reviewed by KES AMSTA International
Program Committee. The best submissions will be selected for
presentation and will be included in the symposium proceedings.
The papers should present original and unpublished research.

The symposium proceedings are planned to be published and
distributed by Springer Verlag in series LNCS/LNAI. Papers
should be prepared in LNCS/LNAI style and should be limited
to 10 pages. All submissions must be sent electronically using
the PROSE software review system. More information can be found at:
http://amsta-10.kesinternational.org/submission.php

A selected number of accepted and personally presented papers
will be expanded and revised for possible inclusion in special
issues in the several prestigious international journals.
