Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
The workshop is organized by the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Debrecen, directly before DCFS 2022, the 24th International Conference of Descriptional Complexity of Formal Systems (Debrecen, August 29 - 31) and MCU 2022, the 9th Conference on Machines, Computations and Universality (Debrecen, August 31 - September 2, 2022).
The conference will take place in a hybrid format: the possibility of both, in-person and online participation will be provided. In order to emphasise the workshop character of NCMA, short contributions that report on recent results or ongoing work are also invited in addition to full papers. However, in contrast to the accepted regular (full) papers which will be published in the proceedings, the accepted short papers will appear in a separate technical report. ========================================================================================= TOPICS The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers working on different aspects of different variants of classical and non-classical automata models in order to exchange and develop novel ideas. A deeper and interdisciplinary coverage of this particular area may gain new insights and substantial progress. Topics include, but are not limited to: * Bio-inspired Automata * Cellular Automata * Restarting Automata, Forgetting Automata * Automata with Additional Resources * Automata Networks, Cooperation, and Communication * Quantum Automata * Automata in the framework of mem-brane computing * Other Formal Models Inspired by Linguistics, Bio-Computing, Text Processing, Document Engineering, Self-Assembling In all these settings: * Applications * Expressive Capability * Universality, Self-Reproduction * Descriptional Complexity * Decision Problems and their Complexity * Algebraic Properties PAPER SUBMISSION Authors are invited to submit full papers or short papers (short papers up to 8 pages) in electronic form (Postscript or PDF). All submissions should be prepared using the EPTCS-style (please see the web-page https://konferencia.unideb.hu/en/ncma-2022 for detailed information). Full papers will go through a usual review process, simultaneous submissions to other conferences or workshops with published proceedings are not allowed. Short papers will also be reviewed by PC members, but simultaneous submissions of extended versions to other conferences or workshops with published proceedings are allowed. The submission process is managed by EasyChair, https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ncma2022 PROCEEDINGS, SPECIAL ISSUE The proceedings will be published in the series Electronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science (EPTCS). In addition, a special issue with revised and extended versions of selected papers of the workshop will appear in the journal RAIRO-Theoretical Informatics and Applications. VENUE The workshop will take place on the campus of the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Debrecen, Kassai út 26, 4028 Debrecen, Hungary. https://www.inf.unideb.hu/en/node/296 LOCAL ORGANIZERS Bence Hegedűs Géza Horváth Arnold Pintér György Vaszil CONTACT henning@cs.uni-potsdam.de (Henning Bordihn) horvath.geza@inf.unideb.hu (Géza Horváth) vaszil.gyorgy@inf.unideb.hu (György Vaszil) https://konferencia.unideb.hu/en/ncma-2022 |
