Marrakech has numerous monuments, places and gardens, recognized and protected on an international scale, this city is always fascinated by its climate, its environment, its history and the user-friendliness of his inhabitants. Marrakech, eternal city, becomes the new secondary place of residence for numerous artists, business managers and celebrities, whom are happy to find a real haven of peace, rest their mind and find new sources of inspiration. At three hours of flight from main European countries, Marrakech, is a privileged destination for those who want to join the useful to the pleasant, the city organize each year, several meetings and diverse exhibitions. Marrakech has already received numerous world congresses and its reputation on the subject is not to be any more made. During your stay, you should enjoy the most out of Marrakech and live a moment true to your desires. In the following, we will present some well known places in this wonderful city: The minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque, Marrakech’s most famous symbol built in a traditional Almohad style and topped with four copper globes is visible from near and far.It is not really that high (77 metres), but thanks to local topography and a local ordinance that forbids any other building in the Medina to be higher than a palm tree, it towers majestically over its surroundings. There are few more pleasurable ways to enjoy time in Marrakech than wandering around the seemingly endless maze of markets. The area of the Medina north of the Jemaa El Fna is commercial with a fibrous network of souks. Beginning on the north edge, the souks comprise alleyway upon alleyway of tiny retail cubicles. The further in you venture the more interesting they become. Marrakech is also known by its fabulous regions: beautiful Ourika Valley, a place much appreciated for walking and resting. Terre d’Amanare an amazing place for outdoor activities. M. NEMICHE nemiche@uv.es |
