14th International Conference on Perspectives in Business Informatics Research (BIR'2015) Tartu, Estonia, 26-28 August 2015 -------------------- Paper submission: April 13, 2015 (extended!) -------------------- http://bir2015.cs.ut.ee/ BIR'2015 is the fourteenth in a series of conferences aimed at fostering inter-disciplinary research in the field of business informatics, particularly research that bridges across management and engineering aspects and that strikes a balance between scientific rigor and practical applicability. This year's edition of the conference will be held in the historical student town of Tartu, under the auspices of University of Tartu's Institute of Computer Science. BIR'2015 solicits both full papers (up to 15 pages) reporting substantial research results, as well as work-in-progress and application papers (up to 8 pages) reporting preliminary results or applications of known results in a practical setting. The conference welcomes submissions on all aspects of business informatics with an emphasis on the conference's theme of "interoperability and adaptation", including but not restricted to the following topics: * Interoperability and adaptation - Interoperability methods, architectures and technology - Human and social perspectives of interoperability - Systems theory and principles - Ontology engineering - Enterprise modelling and virtual organisations - E-commerce, e-business and e-government systems - Open source, open innovation and open society - E-learning and learning organisations - Business applications of Web and social computing * Business information systems development - Requirements engineering - Information systems modelling - Business process management - Business rules management - Decision modeling and management - Service-oriented architecture - Model-driven architecture - Agile information systems development - Information systems quality and security * Business intelligence - Data warehousing - Business data analytics - Decision support systems - Business process mining - Knowledge management - Semantic Web methods and languages * Contextualized evaluation of business informatics methods - Feasibility of existing techniques and languages - Contextualized value and quality - User acceptance of new technology - Case studies and experience reports All accepted papers will be published in a dedicated volume in the series Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP, Springer).
