Submissions to the Abstract Track may be accepted for oral presentation at the conference. Alternatively, submissions to both Tracks may be accepted to a joint Poster Session. Only previously unpublished, original submissions will be accepted by the Proceedings Track.

Description
-----------------------------
Network science is an emerging discipline concerned with the study of fundamental properties of networks and their models as well as their applications in domains ranging from biology and physics to computer science, from financial markets to cultural integration, and from social media to infectious diseases.
NetSci X extends the popular NetSci conference series (http://www.netscisociety.net/conferences) to provide an additional forum for a growing community of academics and practitioners working on formal, computational, and substantive aspects of complex networks. The conference will be highly interdisciplinary, spanning the boundaries of traditional disciplines.

Both theoretical and applied papers are of interest. Specific topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

Computational Network Science
Mathematical Network Science
Applications of Network Science
Behavioral & Social Influence
Community Structure in Networks
Network Science and Epidemics
Network Science and Mobility
Network Science in Biological Systems
Network Science in Technology
Network Science and Ecological Networks
Emergence in Complex Networks
Geometry in Complex Networks
Impact and Success Prediction
Information Spreading in Social Media
Interacting Social Networks
Link Analysis and Ranking
Modeling Human Behavior in Complex Networks
Models and Simulation of Complex Networks
Multilayer Networks
Network Controllability and Observability
Network Evolution
Networks as Frameworks
Phase Transitions in Complex Networks
Rumor Spreading
Search in Complex Networks
Shocks and Bursts in Social Networks
Structural Network Properties and Analysis
Synchronization in Networks

Instructions for Submissions
-----------------------
All papers and abstracts should be submitted electronically through the conference
web site http://netsci-x.net/ in PDF format. The website includes detailed
information about the submission process.

Submissions may be invited for a joint poster session of the Abstract and Proceedings track. These submissions will not be included in the Proceedings, but can be presented at the conference.

Publication in the Proceedings Track
-----------------------------
Original papers in the above-mentioned and other related areas will be considered for publications in the Proceedings Track. Submissions will be fully refereed and will undergo a single-blind peer-review process. Each paper will be reviewed by at least three referees. Accepted papers submitted to the Proceedings Track will be published in the conference proceedings provided an author will present it at the conference. The proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science Series. Note that Springer will require that authors sign a copyright agreement, so that previously published research should not be submitted to the Proceedings Track.

Submitted full papers should follow the Springer LNCS format (please
visit their website for more details).

Papers should not exceed 14 pages in this format. Some works may be accepted as short papers and shall be limited to 8 pages maximum.
