=====================================================
CALL FOR PAPERS AND PARTICIPATION ===================================================== International Workshop on Automated Incident Management in Cloud (AIMC’15) April 21-24 2015, Bordeaux, France http://aimc.io/ Held in conjunction with European Conference on Computer Systems (EuroSys) http://eurosys2015.labri.fr/ ====================================================== *** IMPORTANT DATES *** Paper submission (final): March 1st, 2015 Notification of acceptance: March 9th, 2015 Camera ready papers: March 27th, 2015 *** SCOPE *** The ongoing adoption of Cloud Computing has lead to an increase in the level of complexity of the existing services and inherently higher risks for companies willing to migrate in order to benefit from this new paradigm. These risks could arise from deviations from the normal operation that could lead to a reduction or interruption of the QoS, service shortages, or incidents. Cloud Incident Management, as a novel research direction, is addressing specific issues that are related to cloud services, bringing under the same umbrella relevant topics including cloud management automation, SLA and QoS management (and specifically management of SLA incidents), Cloud forensics and targeting the resolution of deviations from normal operations. *** TOPICS OF INTEREST *** Authors are invited to submit papers that fall into the area of cloud incident management. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following: - Cloud incident management architectures, workflows and automated handling processes; - Techniques and algorithms for cloud incident detection and classification; - Root cause analysis in cloud computing; - Engineering of self-healing cloud autonomic systems; - Resilient service provisioning in cloud computing; - Cloud forensic investigations, electronic discovery (eDiscovery); - Audit, security, privacy, and compliance management for cloud computing; - Cloud quality management and service level agreement (SLA); - Cloud configuration, performance, and capacity management; - Novel fault-tolerance techniques and implementations of emerging software technologies; - Analysis of cloud anti-patterns for incident avoidance *** PAPER SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION *** Full papers will be submitted via the EasyChair system at: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=aimc15 The submission format will follow the recommended format of the EuroSys conference, and must be no longer than 6 numbered pages, excluding references for which additional pages can be used. Papers must be formatted using a 10pt font, single spacing (minimum 11pt spacing between lines), two columns with 0.33 inches between columns, and a text box of 7 by 9 inches. The ACM SIGPLAN style should achieve the required formatting if using the “10pt” and “preprint” options (http://www.sigplan.org/Resources/Author/). *** GENERAL CHAIRS *** - Adj. Prof. Thomas Michael Bohnert, PhD, and Victor Ion Munteanu, PhD, Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland - Prof. Dana Petcu, PhD, and Assoc. Prof. Teodor-Florin Fortis, PhD, West University of Timisoara, Romania *** TECHNICAL PROGRAMME COMMITTEE *** - Andy Edmonds, Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland - John P. Morrison, PhD, University College Cork, Ireland - Giuliano Casale, PhD, Imperial College London, United Kingdom - Danilo Ardagna, PhD, Politecnico di Milano, Italy - Viorel Negru, PhD, West University of Timisoara, Romania - Walid Fdhila, PhD, University of Vienna, Austria - Florin Pop, PhD, University Politehnica Bucuresti, Romania It will be a great pleasure for us to receive your contribution and to meet you in Bordeaux.
