In addition, the advances of sensor technologies are facilitating Cyber-Physical Systems, i.e. the integration of the digital world with the physical environment, and the advent of the Internet of Things. Large-scale networked systems, real-time data streams from sensors and widespread use of mobile devices are contributing to the Big Data trends. Intelligent and efficient approaches are required to turn the wealth of data available from the network into useful and actionable knowledge. The conference programme will focus on emerging models, paradigms, applications and technologies related to Internet-based distributed systems. Conference Format ----------------- The perfect venue for an academic retreat and the single track format facilitate interaction and socialisation of the participants. Invited keynote speakers are opening the activities of each day. A special session is dedicated to PhD students presenting their work to the community: four student grants are available to cover travel and accommodation costs. Publications ---------------- The conference proceedings will be published as Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). All contributions will also be electronically available through SpringerLink Database and will be indexed through ISI Conference Proceedings Citation Index - Science (CPCI-S), EI, Scopus, ACM Digital Library, DBLP, and Google scholar. Authors of selected conference papers will be invited to submit an extended paper to a Special Issue on "Cyber-physical Systems (CPS), Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data" of the Elsevier Journal of Future Generation Computer Systems (Impact Factor: 2.639), and to an edited volume of the Springer Book Series on Internet of Things.
