University of New York in Prague / Czech Republic May 2015 International Conference on Business Operations ICBO 2015 Scopes We are welcoming paper submissions in the following fields: Applied Economics, Business Management and Marketing, Education, and Law. Applied Economics Academic papers in this category shall envisage the application of theories at level of economics and business sector organisation such as tourism, provision of services, trade and related fields. Aim of this pillar is to show potential of industry sectors and country-related opportunities to enhance development. Business Management Contributions in this field shall focus on promoting implementation of company-related innovations to cover new markets and/or introduce strategy concepts to foster business activities. We are encouraging submissions especially in the sphere of Management (human resource management, industrial management, operations management, supply chain management, organisational behaviour), marketing, organisation structure, organizational behaviour, decision-making and decision-support systems. We welcome furthermost papers addressing knowledge management in business operations, strategic knowledge management in business operations, managing business intelligence in business operations, role of intelligent systems in business operations, and information systems management. Education Along with the Bologna Process came the internationalisation of education and Higher Education Institutions. This conference’ section aims at attributing business and education at level of transnational business operations, i.e. focusing critical approaches towards commercialisation of high-profile educational services at VET, Life-long Learning, and Higher Education in the context of quality assurance. Law Input in the broad field of law may range from commercial and trade law to international law, limited only to the scope of business operations. We are expecting papers to produce relevant in-formation and analysis following solution-oriented approaches. Important Dates Abstract/extended abstract submission due: 15 March 2015 Notification of acceptance: 20 March 2015 Full paper submission due: 15 April 2015 Final (revised) paper submission due: 15 May 2015 Early registration: 15 March 2015 (300 €; Student Registration Fee 250 €) Regular registration: 15 April 2015 (350 €; Student Registration Fee 280 €) Conference dates: 20-22 May 2015 Pre-conference programme: 20 May 2015 Submission Details Abstracts All types of submission require an abstract. The abstract should be a minimum of 250 words and no more than 500 words including keywords. Abstracts should be received by 15 March 2015. Submissions are to be made through: abstracts@heducon.eu. Full Paper Only required after acceptance of the abstract and should not be more than 2500 words, including abstract, keywords, and references. Please see the Guidelines for Full Paper. Deadline for submission: 15 April 2015. Submissions are to be made through: fullpapers@heducon.eu. Authors are advised to submit the paper early to help manage the review process in a timely fashion, especially for authors needing a visa to travel to Prague. Papers should be submitted as .doc or .rtf file attachments through the online submissions link (will be available from 15 January 2015). All papers submitted to the conference will be double-blind peer reviewed by members of the conference committee to ensure that the papers are of scholarly standard and that proper referencing and citation standards are followed. Hotel Galileo Prague Virtual Presentation Those unable to attend the conference in person because of conflicts in teaching schedule or are preoccupied in academic work but intend to participate with their research in this international conference, virtual presentation is available. Virtual presentations allow participants to submit papers for refereeing and publication in the conference proceedings, exactly like a regular paper. Virtual participants will receive a full copy of the conference proceedings or may opt for the di-gital copy of the proceedings. To submit your paper for virtual presentation, submit your abstract and final paper through abstracts@heducon.eu The review process for virtual presentations will strictly follow the review process for regular submissions. Papers will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity, and scholarly contri-bution. Papers under consideration in this conference must not have been previously published or currently be considered for publication elsewhere. Conference delegates will have an opportunity to meet editors of several academic journals. A best paper award will be presented at the end of the conference. All submitted papers will be double-blind peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings that will be available in printed edition as well as digital edition and will also be considered for publication in European journals. |
