Call For research Papers
We invite research contributions for the 26th World Wide Web Conference
(WWW2017), to be held April 3-7, 2017 in Perth, Australia (www2017.com.au).
About the WWW conference
For more than two decades, the International World Wide Web (WWW) Conference has
been the premier venue for researchers, academics, businesses, and standards bodies
to come together and discuss latest updates and the future of the Web. The
proceedings of WWW are published online (open access) and through ACM Digital
Library, and is considered one of the most impactful conferences in Computer Science.
The main technical program of WWW2017 will have 11 tracks (or areas). We invite
submissions of cutting-edge, exciting, new breakthrough work to the most relevant
area. In addition to the main conference, WWW2017 will also include the W3C track,
several alternate tracks and have a series of co-located workshops, keynote speeches,
tutorials, panels, a developer track, and poster and demo sessions.

Detailed Submission requirements
All submitted papers must:
● be written in English
● contain author names, affiliations, and email addresses
● be formatted according to the ACM SIG Proceedings template
(acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates) with a font size no smaller
than 9pt
● be in PDF (make sure that the PDF can be viewed on any platform), and
formatted for US Letter size. Files in Postscript (ps) or any other format will not
be accepted.
● occupy no more than eight pages, including the abstract and appendices, with
one additional page allowed for references (total 9 pages). Over-length papers
will be rejected without review. Submissions must be self-contained; WWW2017
will not accept or review any supplementary materials.
It is the authors' responsibility to ensure that their submissions adhere strictly to the
required format. Submissions that do not comply with the above guidelines will be
rejected without review.
Papers emphasizing novel algorithmic approaches are particularly encouraged.
Application-oriented papers that make innovative technical contributions to research
are welcome. Visionary papers on new and emerging topics are also welcome.
Authors are explicitly discouraged from submitting papers that do not clearly present
their contribution with respect to previous works, that contain only incremental results,
and that do not provide significant advances over existing approaches.

• PDF files must have all non-standard fonts embedded.
• After upload, please check the copy stored on the site.
• Submissions that do not view or print properly may be rejected without a
chance to rectify the problem.
The paper title, author names, contact details, and an informative abstract must be
submitted electronically by Wednesday, October 19, 2016.
All research papers are due electronically on Monday, October 24, 2016.
Submissions received after the deadline or those that do not meet the length or
formatting requirements will not be considered for review.
Policy on multiple submissions
Submissions must represent new and original work. Concurrent submissions are not
allowed. WWW 2017 will not accept any paper that, at the time of submission, is under
review for or has already been published, or accepted for publication, in a journal or
another venue with formally published proceedings. As a rule of thumb, authors should
regard any publication with an ISBN or ISSN as a formal publication. Authors are also
required not to submit their papers to venues with formal publication during the
WWW2017 review period. These restrictions are not intended to apply to workshops
and similar specialized presentations with a limited audience and without published
proceedings.
Authors will be required to confirm that their submissions conform to these
requirements at the time of submission. Submissions that have been previously
presented in venues with no formal proceedings or as posters are allowed, but must
indicate so on the first page of the submission.
Review process
The review process will be single-blind, and author names and affiliations should be
listed.
Each paper will be reviewed by at least three regular PC members and one track chair.
The acceptance decisions will take into account paper novelty, technical depth,
elegance, practical or theoretic impact, and presentation.
Accepted papers will appear in the online conference proceedings published by the
ACM Digital Library and the conference web site. Authors of accepted papers will
retain intellectual property rights to their work, but will be required to sign a copyright
release form to IW3C2. After publication in WWW 2017, extended versions of papers
can be submitted to refereed journals in accordance to the policies of those journals.
Accepted refereed papers, posters, and demos must be presented at the conference by
an author who is registered to attend. We require at least one author of every accepted
submission to register by the early-bird deadline (specifically, one registered author
may present multiple papers/posters/demos at the conference). Authors will be
required to agree to this requirement at the time of submission.
Copyright
The WWW conference series is owned by the International World Wide Web
Committee (IW3C2). Copyright of accepted submissions will be held by the IW3C2 and
authors are required to complete and submit the IW3C2 Copyright Form along with
their submission. The IW3C2 Copyright Form can be downloaded from
http://www2017.com.au.
