Call For Papers

The 2015 Global Sustainability Institute Conference will bring together leaders from academia, business, government, NGOs and beyond, to discuss the interface between sustainability research and public policy and practice.

Today's researchers are judged not only on the academic quality of their work but upon the 'impact' of their research on the real world. Carbon emissions, biodiversity, economic systems, behaviours and practices are being modelled, mapped, observed and studied in an attempt to both understand and influence the real world. But how successful has it been in driving change?

Open call for abstracts: Wednesday 23 July 2014
Deadline for abstracts: Friday 17 October 2014

Individuals and groups are invited to submit an abstract for the Global Sustainability Institute's 2nd Research Conference 2015.

We particularly encourage abstract submissions from projects completed by, or in partnership with, a non-academic organisation (i.e. business, governments or third sector).

Abstracts are invited under five overarching themes. Further details can be found here.

Improving the evidence for action
Dealing with uncertainty
Sustainability policy in 2015
Exploring the policy / research interface
Achieving impact through communication and dialogue

Two tracks are available for abstract submissions

Both tracks require completion of the abstract form available below. Send the completed form to gsi-info@anglia.ac.uk.

Maximum length of the abstract is 250 words.

Please note that submissions may be placed in a different, more appropriate theme at our discretion. Final decisions regarding placement of individual papers and sessions rests with the Scientific Programme Committee.

Submissions will be reviewed by an internal panel before being formally accepted.
