You are cordially invited to participate in CLIHC/LA-WEB 2009, the Joint Conference encompassing the 4th. Latin American Perspective on Human-computer Interaction (CLIHC) and the 7th Latin American Web Congress, which will be held November 4-6, 2009, in Mérida, Yucatán.
LA-WEB 2009 is a conference aimed at providing a venue in Latin America for researchers and technologists from around the world to present, demonstrate and discuss the latest Web developments and research. LA-WEB is a regional conference endorsed by the International World Wide Web Conference Committee (IW3C2) http://latinweb.org/laweb09.
Supported by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), CLIHC has served as a venue for the interchange of ideas, methods, approaches and techniques of those aiming at designing interactive experiences for the people of Latin America. The aim of the CLIHC is to capture the people, culture, geography, history and perspectives within the context of those researchers and practitioners from and in Latin American working in the area of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) http://www.clihc.org/2009.
The Joint CLIHC/LA-WEB 2009 Conference will have activities from both events. The conference includes short paper, and full paper presentations which will be included in IEEE Proceedings. This year, the joint Conference will provide two forums, a Doctoral Consortium and a Student Competition, which offer a setting for feedback on students' current research, while encouraging the students’ interaction with other researchers and participation in the conference events.
