The Young Energy Researchers Conference is part of the World Sustainable Energy Days. With ­more than 650 participants from over 50 countries each ­year, the WSED are a leading conference on the energy transition and climate neutrality.

Linked to the main topics of the WSED24, ­the young energy researchers conference has 2 tracks, one for energy efficiency and one for biomass.

Young researchers and professionals (born after 1988) are ­invited to ­submit ­contributions. Submissions (in English only) are welcome from all scientific fields (e.g. technology, ­engineering, economics, social ­sciences, architecture, law, arts). A high-level scientific committee selects ­papers for oral and poster presentations.

The costs of accommodation, meals, ­participation and local transport (4 conference days) for up to 60 selected participants are covered by the organiser.

ALSO: The 2 best contributions are honoured with the awards "Best Young Energy Efficiency Researcher" and "Best Young Biomass Researcher". The researchers receive 1,000 Euro each as prize money.
