VI. ULUDAG CONFERENCE ON INTERNATIONAL
RELATIONS
“RETURN OF GEOPOLITICS? TIME FOR ACTIVE
DIPLOMACY IN THE GREATER REGIONS”
The Sixth Uludag Conference on International Relations is going to be held at
Uludag University (Mete Cengiz Convention Centre), Bursa-Turkey, in 25-27
November 2014 with the main theme of “Return of Geopolitics? Time for Active
Diplomacy in the Greater Regions’’. The Conference aims to convene preeminent
scholars, researchers and decision-makers, and also to analyze all sub-titles/topics
of international relations with regard to the new geopolitical challanges and security
requirements.
The Language of the Conference will be Turkish and English. Even though the
main themes which will be discussed during the Conference are listed below,
other papers related to international relations and security will also be evaluated.

The abstracts should include the information below and submitted to Conference
Secretariat before 15 August 2014. Each application should include:
a. The paper title
b. Abstracts (between 200-300 words and including main
assumptions, methodology and conclusions)
c. Author name(s) and institutional affiliation(s)
d. Background information (One pharagraph biography, not detailed
CV)
d. Contact information (phone, and e-mail)
PUBLICATION OF THE PAPERS
Presented papers and abstracts will be published in the Conference’s web site
following the editing process. The successful papers that are elected by the
Scientific Board are going to be published in Journal of Global and Regional Analysis.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES
Abstract submission deadline : 15 August 2014
Notification of acceptance : 1 September 2014
Extended abstract : 15 October 2014
Registration : 1-3 November 2014
Conference date : 25-27 November 2014
REGISTRATION FEE
Registration fee is not required for conference (free for all participants).
CONFERENCE VENUE
The Conference will be held at the Uludag University Mete Cengiz
Convention Centre.
TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION
Principally travel costs and accommodation will be covered by the
participants. Updated information about the travel and accommodation will be
