For this workshop, we are seeking papers based on original unpublished research demonstrating the applications of AI that has a tangible impact on real world problems. Topics may include, the utilisation of machine learning, ethics and governance, data mining, information retrieval, knowledge-based systems, multi-agent systems, distributed systems for designing, creating or conceiving, supervised, semi-supervised or unsupervised learning and intelligent agents. Application areas may include, but not limited to, healthcare, business, education, innovative engineering, entertainment and sustainable societies.
More specifically we are looking for original research in applied AI in the following areas: Machine learning applications AI ethics and AI law Deep learning platforms Reinforcement learning Generative adversarial networks and applications Speech and natural language processing Process automation Evolutionary computation Biometrics Signal and image processing Dimensionality reduction techniques Representation and visualisation approaches Graphical models Clustering and classification methods Data collection, interpretation and analysis techniques Fuzzy approaches Genetic algorithms Information retrieval and fuzzy approaches Multi-modal systems Big and complex data applications Applied AI for financial technology AI applications to networks and security This workshop is part of the 2019 IEEE sponsored International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management & Applications (SKIMA 2019) and all the accepted full papers (8 pages, IEEE format) from the workshop will appear in the main conference proceedings of SKIMA 2019 and in IEEE Xplore. Short papers (4 pages, IEEE format) and accepted posters will appear in a locally produced special conference proceedings with an ISBN. Journal Special Issues Selected extended versions of the papers presented at the workshop will appear in carefully selected special issues of international journals. A special issue for the following journal is already confirmed.
