Development, Testing and Maintenance of Cloud Services
A Special Track of the 2014 Asia-Pacific Services Computing Conference (APSEC 2014) Nowadays, cloud services are becoming increasingly popular in both industry and academia, when cloud computing has become more pervasive. They provide easy, scalable access to storage, data, applications and other resources for users on demand via the Internet by different provider. Therefore, there is no need for a company to provision or deploy its own IT resources or allocate IT staff to manage the services. This special track is an important workshop for researchers and industry practitioners to discuss the challenges and technical issues in developing, testing and maintaining cloud services, as well as to seek reasonable and efficient solutions to these challenges and issues. Topics of interest for this special track of the APSCC 2014 conference edition include, but are not limited to Cloud services users’ requirements analysis New architecture for on-demand services Development methods for cloud services Programming paradigms for different types of cloud services, e.g., SaaS, PaaS and IaaS Testing methods and tools for cloud services Deployment, evolution and maintenance of cloud services Submission Guidelines All submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by three program committee members of this special track. The International Journal of Web Services Research (JWSR, SCI indexed) has confirmed to support the publication of APSCC 2014 papers. All the APSCC 2014 submissions from both research track and special tracks will go through the journal submission system. The PC members will review the papers through the journal review system and return the results before the notification date. Based on the review results, the best papers of this special track will be published by JWSR after revision, and the other accepted papers will be published by EI-indexed journals and the newly founded journals supported by the Services Society. Note that, at least one author of all the accepted papers MUST register and give a presentation in the special track. Otherwise, the accepted paper will be removed from the candidate list of best paper award. Formatting your submissions All submitted manuscripts will be limited to 8 (IEEE Proceedings style) pages and REQUIRED to be formatted using the IEEE Proceedings template in WORD or in Latex. The submitted papers can only be in the format of PDF or WORD. Before the date of camera-ready submission, the authors can modify their accepted papers according to reviewers’ comments and the template of the corresponding journal. An electronically submitted abstract will be required prior to the submission of the full paper. Electronic submission of manuscripts (in PDF or Word formats) in English is required. Submissions should include paper title, abstract, names of authors, their affiliations, and emails addresses.
