The 10th International Conference on Emerging Technologies 2014 (ICET 2014) will be held at National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NU), Islamabad, Pakistan from December 1-2, 2014, under the umbrella of IEEE Islamabad Section. ICET 2014 will attract leading researchers from academia and practitioners from industry in Pakistan and abroad to share their innovative ideas, experiences, and cutting edge research. We invite authors to submit high quality original papers in the following two categories:
Technical Papers: We solicit original and high quality papers that discuss the technical solutions to significant research problems. The paper should provide a clear motivation for solving the problem being addressed, the relevant literature review, and the proposed scientific solution. The paper should also highlight the benefits of the proposed solution. Any study conducted for evaluation must be rigorous, reproducible, and clearly communicated. Industry Experience/Application Papers: For the first time in Pakistan, ICET 2014 is soliciting industry experience/application papers. We welcome high quality papers from industry practitioners describing experiences of applying various methods, tools, or techniques in any of the conference areas. The objective of such papers is to stimulate discussions and exchanging ideas between industry and research participants of the conference. Topics of interest: Submissions are sought in two tracks: Computer Science/Software Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The list of topics include: Track I: Computer Science/Software Engineering Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining and Machine Learning Computer Vision, Image Processing and Computer Graphics Grid and Cloud Computing Spatial, Temporal, and Geographic Databases, Big Data Knowledge Management, Information Retrieval, and Business Analytics Software Project Management, Testing and Quality Assurance Software Requirement Engineering, Architecture and Model Driven Engineering Software Product Line Engineering, Empirical Software Engineering Mobile Computing Information Security and Privacy Track II: Electrical Engineering Smart grids Signals, Systems, Control, and Robotics Microelectronics, Nano electronics, and Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems Power electronics Wireless Sensor networks Data Communications and Networks Engineering Management Embedded System Design and Verification Submission The length of the paper is limited to a maximum of 6 pages (including references) in the prescribed two-column format. Papers that are over the page limit and are not according to the prescribed format will be automatically rejected without further review. Papers submitted at ICET 2014 must be original and not be published or under review at any other venue. The papers should not contain any plagiarized material. ICET 2014 will follow the IEEE policies for the plagiarism cases. Papers should be submitted through the Easy Chair Conference System. Each paper must be in PDF format, written in English and conform to the IEEE format available at IEEE Format The proceedings of the conference will be available through IEEE Xplore. |
