Workshop web site: https://sites.google.com/a/seecs.edu.pk/mabat2014/ Papers due: August 17, 2014 In everyday life, people on the move use mobile devices for a wide range of useful and practical activities. Consequently, the data generated as a result of these daily activities are rapidly increasing, and such growth is bound to continue. With the current deluge of data from disparate sources, analytics have a promising potential to increase the value of such data and the understanding of the situations involved. The workshop will discuss and present concepts of analytics in mobile applications as the contributors think that a variety of the activities triggered and supported by analytics are highly appropriate and even preferred to be used in mobile applications. The type of personal information on performance and behavior presented to the users further makes mobile personal apps the ideal platform for applying analytics for behavioral tracking. The workshop will discuss solutions for Mobile Analytics as Mobile Dashboards, Notification and Data Collections Systems, Experience Sampling Applications, Performance Meters, Sensor-Based Appliances for Learning Analytics, or Quantified Self Support for Learning. Topics of Interest include but are not restricted to theory, experience, and practices in: - Mobile Performance Apps - Quantified Self for Learning Analytics Apps - Mobile Analytics Dashboards and the Design Consideration - Mobile Feedback Systems and Performance Analytics - Mobile Apps for Sensor Data Monitoring - Mobile Experience Sampling Applications - Research methods, ethics and implementation of Mobile Learning Analytics - Evaluation of Mobile Analytics - Software for Mobile Ubiquitous Learning Environments - Persuasive Technology for Learning - Analytics in Persuasion - Persuasive Apps |
