We invite you to submit papers to ALIA, the British symposium on Artificial Life and Intelligent Agents. ALIA is being supported by HPC Wales, the Welsh national supercomputing service and Bangor University. ALIA accepts submissions in either full paper (14 pages) or short papers (6 pages) including references. All accepted publications will be included in the conference proceedings.
Topics of interest Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following research areas. Autonomous Robotic Systems Bio-inspired and evolutionary robotics Learning and Adaptation Cellular Automata Embodied, Interactive Systems Swarm Dynamics Artificial Societies Evolutionary Dynamics Evolutionary Computation Evolutionary and Artificial Life Based Art Methodologies and Tools Methodologies for the Teaching of ALIA Subjects Agent Theory Humans and Agents Agent Behaviour Verification and Validation of Agent-Based Systems Agent-Based Simulation Agent Communication and Cooperation Applications to Games and the Creative Sector Application of High Performance Computing to ALIA Research Topics Philosophical and Ethical issues It is planned to publish the proceedings with Springer in their Communications in Computer and Information Science series (approval pending). Important Dates 4th August – Submission System Opens 14th September – Submission Deadline 5th October – Notification to Authors Submission of Papers and Style Instructions It is our intention to publish all papers post-proceedings with Springer which we are waiting to confirm. It is therefore recommended that authors use the standard springer paper template. Papers must be prepared in either Microsoft Word or Latex. Initial versions of papers should be submitted in PDF format only and uploaded to the submission system by the deadline provided above at the latest. Please note that at least one author must register for and attend the conference to present their work.
